Altstadt restaurant in Dusseldorf

The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, but not everything on the menu was available.

Unfortunately only 3 stars. The place was empty when I entered that evening. I ordered Berliner Schnitzel and a 0.25l Schlösser Alt beer. The food was delivered quickly. The food was warm, but the potatoes were a bit overcrowded and the apples on the schnitzel didn't really taste like apples. The hygiene measures were also handled a little too loosely for me. (The waitress wore her mask when serving under the chin - another put it on when going out) The staff was friendly and the prices are fair.

Very bad service and very expensive. Had ordered 2 coffees and a warm apple pie with whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream and the price was 16 euros. The coffee had been delivered for 20 minutes before the rest arrived. Actually wanted to walk away but didn't think it was nice. But the waitress is a walking grumpy woman, who only walked in and out wait service. No tip and a big -1.

Lamb Fillets.....just WOW - we go every year!

Nice facilities, nice service with good recommendations and the price-performance ratio is very good. Everything in itself I can only recommend it.

Not recommended on Saturdays as it can get full very quickly. Otherwise I think the food and price are okay

Always friendly and the menu has a lot to offer we have been visiting this restaurant for 39 years, why not give it a try.

Very tasty and generous portions. Friendlier than expected. Drinks are small and a bit pricey. Enjoyed the visit.

Service is fast but the food quality does not really stand out for the price. The schnitzel was specially dry.

Food was under seasoned and sloppily plated. I ordered the grill platter which came with stale, unsalted french fries, as well as some grey, chewy pieces of beef, chicken and pork.

A cozy and rustic restaurant. The Spiesekarte is clear and the food tastes good. The people around it feel good and it is well visited. The service is very friendly and attentive.

Great atmosphere here. Polite staff and excellent food. I tried escargot for the first time and was really impressed. Would recommend to everyone visiting Dusseldorf.

Tourist venue, yes, but also good service and great food. They take care with allergies such as gluten. Good with kids.

Ordered a mix grill which was very nice and filling. Also shared a sausage starter with friends - I thought the starter was very expensive for what it was.

Nice food, interesting decor - not traditional German

Ok so it was karneval and maybe that had some affect... however the waiter was useless, took forever to take a drinks order, forever to deliver the order correctly and took forever to get the bill. We ordered wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes and it came with fries, and the schnitzel itself was sub par quality. I won't be returning.

Regular traditional restaurant and nothing special. I had a "Black forest" schnitzel and it was nice and delirious. Staff is fast and helpful.

I've dined here twice as my first experience was excellent. Pucker German nosh however, on my second visit the food was not the same. Was nowhere near to standard as the first meal and it was a repeat order of Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle). Perhaps on weekends their food is fresher and clearly the Saturday waiter was way more attentive, friendly and professional than my midweek one! Beer... always excellent and location top notch!
